Our Mandate
History & Legislative Mandate
The Gulf Provincial Health Authority was established under the Provincial Health Authority Act, consolidating the former Provincial Division of Health and church health service partners into a single statutory authority responsible for health service delivery in Gulf Province.
GPHA operates under a Board of Management appointed by the Provincial Executive Council, with a Chief Executive Officer responsible for day-to-day operations across both districts.
The Authority works in close partnership with the National Department of Health, Church Health Services, development partners and Local Level Governments to plan and finance health infrastructure, workforce and program delivery.
